Communities through art is a cross-border project implemented by Anthropolis (HU) and Citizenit (RO), aiming to strengthen mutual trust between communities in Romania and Hungary through artistic interventions, cultural events, and direct people-to-people actions.
A projekt célja, hogy erősítse az együttműködést az egyének, művészek és kulturális szervezetek közötti a határ mindkét oldalán. Kreatív, részvételen alapuló megoldásokat kínál a társadalmi és városi megújulásra, többek között falfestő műhelyekkel, diákoknak szóló kurzusokkal, VR-eseményekkel, dokumentumfilm-vetítésekkel, nyilvános beszélgetésekkel, fesztiválokkal és koncertekkel.
A tevékenység több városban zajlik a ROHU jogosultsági területen belül, aktívan bevonva a művészeket, fiatalokat, diákokat és a szélesebb közönséget a közös alkotási folyamatokba, amelyek hosszú távú hatást gyakorolnak.
A projekt az Interreg VI-A Románia–Magyarország Program finanszírozásával valósul meg, összesen 199.985,94 euró költségvetéssel, amelynek 80%-át az Európai Unió Európai Regionális Fejlesztési Alapja társfinanszírozza.

It is relatively rare to get a glimpse into the lengthy process behind a work of art, but Grand Café Szeged now offers us this opportunity. As part of our project, Szeged's popular underground café received a new, now iconic fresco from the hands of Adél Kiss. Today, an exciting exhibition opens, in which we can understand, through sketches, notes, and thoughts, how the artist arrived at the final result that can be seen on the wall. – 2025. szeptember 18-20. | Grand Café (Szeged, Deák Ferenc u. 18.)
The reopening of Grand Café Szeged will be celebrated with a multidisciplinary arts festival (September 18-20, 2025) Grand Café. Refreshed from its annual summer break, Grand Café in Szeged returns this year with a new mural, which will be celebrated with a three-day, free multi-arts festival at the iconic cultural venue in the southern part of Hungary.

A szegedi és a temesvári diákok együtt dolgozva Mihai Moldovan művészettörténésszel, Alin Boeru és Mikulán Dávid filmrendezőkkel dokumentálják a szegedi street art rétegeit fotókkal és helyszíni videós beszámolókkal. Az elkészült munkákból kiállítás készül, ami látogatható a Grand Opening eseménysorozat ideje alatt. A fotók klasszikus falikép formátumban láthatóak, a videós anyagok pedig egy képernyőn folyamatosan pörögve mutatják be, hogy az utca embere hogyan gondolkodik a falfestményekről.
A Grand Opening fesztivál előkészületei során a szegedi és temesvári diákok három csapatba rendeződtek. A workshopok során szakemberek és művészek vezetésével megismerkedhettek a szegedi street art fő spotjaival, belekóstolhattak a helyszíni riport és fotózás világába. A hallgatók kipróbálhatták magukat a kulturális események kommunikációs tervezésében és a tartalomgyártásban is. A workshopok eredményét a Grand Café Szeged kiállítása keretein belül lehet majd megtekinteni.

We’ve introduced our brand-new VR devices—now it’s time to unveil the first film in our screening series. Plastisapiens is a soothing yet striking journey into a future where humans and plastic merge as one.
This 15-minute interactive VR experience runs on Quest 2 headsets and can be navigated with controllers or simple hand gestures. Featuring soft animation and a meditative tone laced with irony, the film takes viewers into a speculative eco-fictional world where plastics and organic life blend into hybrid beings. It’s a thought-provoking yet playful exploration of identity and transformation.
Nemrég elkezdtük bemutatni azokat a filmeket, amelyek VR-élményként lesznek elérhetők a közeljövőben. A második alkotás, a Fresh Memories: The Look a szimpla tekintetek erején keresztül mesél a háború valóságáról.
Ez a 10 perces film Harkiv romjai közé visz: lakások, játszóterek és kórtermek tárulnak elénk, ahol a helyiek szótlanul néznek vissza ránk. A tekintetükön keresztül érezhetjük a veszteséget, a fájdalmat, de akár a reményt is. Megrázó, mégis méltóságteljes alámerülés. Többet a filmről itt.
A harmadik, VR-vetítések keretében elérhető alkotás a 21–22 Kína, amely lenyűgöző, szavak nélküli utazás az antropocén korába, ahol az emberi jelenlét formálja a tájat Kína égboltján keresztül.
Ez a 24 perces, 360°-os VR-film kizárólag valós légi felvételeket használ, bemutatva a szuperhatalommá váló ország gyors urbanizációját, ipari fejlődését és tájképformáló folyamatait. Thierry Loa rendezése meditatív, dokumentarista látásmódon keresztül tárja fel bolygónk jelenlegi állapotát – szavak nélkül, de annál beszédesebben.
As part of our project, a new mural will be painted on the wall of Grand Café Szeged During the workshop in May, students of University of Szeged used a variety of media to gather inspiration for the commissioned street artist, so that the legendary wall in Szeged could be decorated with a work of art that fits in with the environment, tradition, and function.
